My vision for the books section of Attachment Mama is to create an AP Book Snapshots community in which parents collaborate to present summaries of books using a handy template that I’ve created. The beneficiaries: hopefully moms and dads like me that sincerely desire to know all the parenting tips and tricks contained in the 20 AP-related books on the shelf or nightstand, but feel challenged to find the time to read them all.
Here, you can read a quick understanding of the author’s views and get a few bullet point recommended strategies for specific parenting challenges and then when you have more time, finish the rest of the book to learn more. Parents interested in contributing as guest writers of the Attachment Mama AP Book Snapshots community, please contact me.
The first two “kick off” book summaries that you’ll find are for Alfie Kohn’s Unconditional Parenting and Lawrence J. Cohen’s Playful Parenting. I welcome your comments and additional recommended titles.
